The PenTest is a sturdy coating thickness gauge in the form of a pen, which measures the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on steel, based on the magnetic attraction principle; measuring range 25 – 700 µm.

The magnets, spring mechanism and casing are designed for durability and a long service life. 

Measurement is taken by sliding a plastic ring manually and thus does not require batteries.
